Brother Campbell '51 Enters Chapter Celestial Dr. Gabe Lewis Campbell, 78, of Wadsworth, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012. He was born on May 20, 1933 in Middletown, OH to the late Helen and Gabe Campbell II.
He attended Fort Jefferson Elementary School near Greenville, OH, one of the last one room schools in Ohio and was the only student in his grade. Gabe continued his education graduating from The Ohio State University School of Law, his Masters of Divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity School at Vanderbilt University and his PhD in Nueropsychobiology from New York University.

Alpha Sigma Chapter - Activities Calendar The men of Kappa Sigma at The Ohio State University have a busy schedule through the end of Winter Quarter and heading into Spring Quarter. High on the list of activities for the active chapter is the initiation of the Winter Quarter pledge class into The Order. At the time of this writing Initiation Date is Sunday, March 4 at the chapter house.

Mid-Term Donor Appeal Letters thanking all 2011 - 2012 HONOR ROLL donors were mailed in late January 2012. Please review the Honor Roll at

Brothers yet to contribute were sent a letter updating them on activities of KSAA. Non-donor letters were issued, too. Your Kappa Sigma Alumni Association continues to work with the active chapter to build upon growing relationships and the bonds of brotherhood. KSAA is also planning its Fall 2012 schedule for alumni participation.

OSU Housing Initiative Your alumni association and the Kappa Sigma house company handling the affairs of the 1842 Indianola property are eagerly awaiting an OSU facilities management report. Two inspections of your chapter's house have been conducted, one in December and one in January. The report, which is supposed to provide an analysis of the tangible needs of the chapter house, has not been received at the time of this writing.

OSU Assoc. Athletic Director - Alpha Sigma Alum - Enters Chapter Celestial William L. "Bill" Jones, 48, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at The Ohio State University Medical Center Ross Heart Hospital. Bill was rushed to the OSUMC after suffering an apparent heart attack at his desk in the Department of Athletics administrative offices at the Novice G. Fawcett Center. A graduate of Upper Arlington High School, Bill earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Ohio State in 1986 and a master's of sports administration from Ohio University in 1991. Bill took pleasure in traveling on annual trips with his family to Emerald Isle, N.C. and in recent years challenged the legendary golf courses of Ireland with his father and brother-in-law. Bill also enjoyed reuniting with his KAPPA SIGMA fraternity brothers on various excursions across the country.
