Alpha Sigma Chapter Reinvents Role on Campus The men of Alpha Sigma chapter underwent an annual Advisors’ Review in April 2012 and are now in the process of reinventing Kappa Sigma on The Ohio State University campus. The chapter has over 55 active members and pledges. It will enter the college school year of 2012 – 2013 with many new goals.
Under the leadership of
Len Riepe, chapter GM, the active members are participating in the National HQ program of Ritual Proficiency certification. Ritual Proficiency or “RPs” are needed for a chapter to qualify for the highest honor of Founders Award for Chapter Excellence or “F.A.C.E.” award given to chapters annually.

Memorial Tournament and Partnership The men of Kappa Sigma at The Ohio State University have spent three years reuniting with the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance. Starting with the 2010 PGA TOUR event held at Muirfield Village Golf Club, active members have been assisting the HNS Sports operations management team with course set-up.
The work involves the staking & roping of Jack Nicklaus’ prestigious golf course design in Dublin, Ohio while also helping with green screen fencing of bleachers and key ingress and egress locations that serve as public entry ways into the tournament.

Chapter House Improvements Alpha Sigma chapter's active members have taken to adopting "fix-it" projects as ways of improving the look and feel of the chapter house.
Recently the chapter's assistant alumni advisor,
Tyler Young, jump-started a refurbishment initiative. The guidance of Brother Young along with the active chapter's elbow grease removed old carpeting from the formal living room area in preparation for having wood flooring installed. The conversion took about 3 - 4 days time and happened just after members returned from their spring break. The look (in this humble alumni's opinion) is fantastic.
The library was also the recipient of tender loving care and a face-lift. Actives polished all the wooden walls and shelves while installing new shelving in the display case. Textbooks, yearbooks, Makios and other reading material was dusted and set right upon the shelves. Trophies were dusted and organized, too. The scrapbook is clean and ready for viewing by any and all visitors. And there are many historically signficant documents in frames now hanging proudly on the walls of the library.
